TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE

ABOUT THE SERVICE

The service sold is provided to the person who purchased it, or to another person they have expressly designated in writing, and is offered mainly in the form of monthly subscriptions. The service can only be used once the monthly fee has been paid in full and confirmed; installment payments are not accepted unless Management indicates otherwise. Payment for the service can be made by: MB WAY, Multibanco reference, direct debit, or credit card. In exceptional cases, it may be made by bank transfer, depending on the country where the service is provided: PT50 0170 3302 0304 0052 3016 6 (Portugal) or AO06 0040 0000 0802 4315 1014 8 (Angola). The amount paid, depending on the type of product purchased, grants access to different levels of support and features specific to that product. The specifics of each product are explained at englishaffair.com. Our services take the form of the following categories of learning products: 1) info-products, 2) personalized mentoring, and 3) conversational practice events.
ABOUT THE MENTOR–LEARNER RELATIONSHIP

TEA mentors are part of the service sold, and are carefully selected with the aim of adding value to the learning process. Individually, we value how well a profile fits the TEA methodology; collectively, we value the diversity of profiles that enriches our structure.

Taking advantage of this diversity, the assignment of a mentor to a given learner is not random, it is based on 3 main criteria, in order of priority: geographic location, schedule availability, and profile compatibility between the mentor and the user.

Should the mentor–learner(s) relationship become unworkable for a reason attributable to the mentor, TEA will make every effort to arrange a suitable replacement.

EXCHANGES AND REFUNDS
All products include info-products, which are made available to the customer at the moment of purchase. For this reason, no refund is available to the customer for these. The customer may request a change or cancellation of the purchased product at any time, effective from the following month’s billing cycle. A refund is only available if, for any reason attributable to TEA, all solutions for delivering the service have been exhausted without success. If, for any reason attributable to the customer, they are unable to continue using the product, no refund is available.
SUBSCRIPTION PRODUCTS
For the subscription model, payment is always recurring and can be made using the methods listed above, with the exception of bank transfer. The monthly fee paid is valid from the calendar day it was paid until the same calendar day of the following month (e.g., from March 20 to April 20), and is automatically charged on that same day each month. Failure to renew the subscription results in restricted access to the program’s components until a new payment is made.
COMPLAINTS

Customers have access to our online complaints book.

This is without prejudice to our being always available to hear customer feedback, as part of our ongoing commitment to improving the quality of our service.
